Religion Canada-Wide



The latest data regarding the religious affiliation comes from 2011, as such the percentages may have changed. 

In 2011, according to the Government funded Statistics Canada Catholicism was the most held to religion at 38.9%, Protestantism comes second at 25.8% and 23.8% of Canadians had no religious affiliation. 

Eastern-Orthodox Christians make up 1.6%, 3.2% were Muslims, 1% were Jewish, 1.3% were Sikhs, 1.5% were Hindu and 1.1% were Buddhist. 




Catholic: 38.9%
Protestant: 25.8%*
Orthodox:1.6%
No Religion: 23.8%
Muslim: 3.2%
Jewish: 1%
Sikh: 1.3%
Hindu: 1.5%
Buddhist: 1.1%

*: For 2011 Protestantism excludes Mormonism and Jehovah Witnessism.
